THEY look AS GOOD AS THEY sound, AND THEY SOUND STUNNING.
For years we searched for an elusive speaker—something that sounded amazing and looked just as good. We wanted an heirloom-quality speaker we could look forward to listening to and looking at for a lifetime. But we couldn’t find a product that met all of our expectations.
So… We made one.
THE DESIGN ETHOS
We approached the design by asking ourselves: If we only had one pair of speakers, what would they be? How would they sound? What sort of qualities would we want to see?
Our experience designing high-end audio systems and our shared appreciation for materials drove the design of these speakers. From the components inside to the final coat of finish on the wood, every single aspect of the speakers was tested and hand-picked in order to create a final product that allows the sound to speak for itself.
The core of our design is heavily influenced by a vintage aesthetic. The High Desert Loudspeaker is our modern take, intentionally more minimalistic, with bit of a Japan meets West Texas vibe. With an approach more artistic in nature and with a focus on craftsmanship using real wood instead of veneers or synthetic materials, we’ve created something that we hope becomes more than just a pair of great sounding speakers.
HIGH END SOUND
The speaker components come from Seas Audio, a well-known and respected manufacturer of high-end audio components out of Moss, Norway, since the 1950s. The result is a listening experience filled with detailed clarity and emotion—a sound that surrounds you, with lows that make you swear you had a subwoofer in the room.
MATERIALS & FINISHES
Our flagship line, THE HIGH DESERT LOUDSPEAKER, is handmade in small batches from solid wood and offered in small batches in natural wood finish or our newest offering in YAKISUGI.
Hand finished in penetrating oils which harden to create a protective surface that allow the natural qualities of the wood to come through.
INFLUENCED by speakers of the 60s and 70s, The High Desert Loudspeaker is our minimal approach to A vintage aesthetic.
