Over a decade ago, we began our search for the perfect speaker. To us, that meant consistency in superior sound quality existing alongside a minimal and beautiful design. Seemed like reasonable requirements, but as our search continued to be fruitless, we turned to our own knowledge of audio to begin creating a speaker that sounded amazing and looked even better.

From the components inside to the final coat of finish on the wood, every single aspect of our speakers was tested and hand-picked in order to create a final product that allows the sound to speak for itself.
Every High Moon speaker is handmade in small batches out of solid wood and high-end audio components.

Behind The Brand
HIGH MOON IS MADE UP OF LIFE AND CREATIVE PARTNERS MICHAEL BLAIR AND MELISSA PRESTON. Inspired by a formative weekend in West Texas many years ago, we left that land of minimalism and long shadows with a vision to create something really special and unique in the hifi world. Our speakers are our offering to you that embodies this vision.
Michael is our sound designer. Before his time working in the business of video games, he designed competition level audio systems for cars and for the home. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to High Moon, having personally designed and tested hundreds of high-end audio systems. Melissa is our creative director. With over 15 years experience as a 3D artist and art director in video games, and a background in fine arts, she brings an artistic approach and love of materials and visual design to our speakers.
We created something intentionally minimal, simplified, and subtle, but upon closer inspection we hope you’ll see the attention to detail, the craftsmanship, the grain of the wood unique in each piece. Now, ten years later, when we listen to a High Moon speaker, we are imbued with that spirit of The Far West: an unsurpassed openness, warmth, and motivation to live better, be better, do better. To live by the sun, listen to the moon.

SOUND HAS THE POWER TO TRANSFORM A MOMENT OR TRANSPORT US TO ANOTHER TIME AND PLACE. Listening to music that you really connect with is, at a core level, something personal that lives deep inside of you. That one note that makes the hair on your arms stand on end. The chord that carries you off into another place and time in your mind. The poetry that inspires you to be great. Creating connections to be conjured by the senses. Making speakers someone will have this kind of connection with their whole life is an inspiring feeling. These moments are what motivate us here at High Moon and what drive us to make speakers that enhance the music, your space, and the memories to follow.

THE MAKING OF THIS COMPANY, THESE SPEAKERS, AND THE BRAND MEAN MORE TO US THAN JUST THE END PRODUCT. They are an embodiment of a set of ideals that we are striving to purposefully live our whole lives by. To slow down, to make something great, to consider quality over quantity, insisting on making space to enjoy the things we love, while being responsible to our environment. A tall order, but we continue to push towards these ideals because we have decided that we cannot compromise on any of them. We are designers, makers, builders, thinkers, and dreamers. We choose to slow down to create a connection with a moment, a place, a time, a person. We invite you to do the same.
